| Description of the seal image | The scene is framed by line borders at the top and bottom. A bearded king or dignitary sitting on a stool is served by two bearded attendants. The one facing him wears a long, double-belted, fringed robe and places a stand with small vessels in front of the king. The one behind the king wears similar clothing and likely holds a fan. The king wears a conical headdress and a long fringed robe and has a sword at his waist. A crescent moon, a seven-rayed, globe-centred star and a wedge appear in the sky. Another wedge is between the king's hands. On the ground, there is a short ear of wheat ('bottle-brush' tree) behind the king's stool, and a spear-like standard, perhaps the spade of Marduk (marru), behind the attendants. |
